Blog

I excited to launch the new Website! Alright, I know it’s been up for a few weeks, what took so long?

I have a list of excuses – mostly that I was traveling and working on other things and this post just kept getting pushed off. But I’m here now!

Why did I update the site?

Great question!

Professional Look?

When I first step up my website, it was fine for what I needed it for. To tell people I existed, that I had a book, and how to contact me.

But as I started to branch out I needed to add more to the website, all of a sudden it started to look sloppy. I also had greater needs and wants with my website so I needed a serious upgrade.

Ultimately, I wanted my website to be a good representation of me and it wasn’t doing that. Today it does.

Who am I and why am I here?

The purpose of a website is to tell people who you are and what you have to offer.

I think I did ok telling people who I was, though I made some updates as I’ve grown clarity in this area. It didn’t tell visitors what I had to offer – what I can help people with. This was one of the greatest changes with my website.

I’ve added content on speaking and coaching. I have added more quality offerings for people signing up for my mailing list. I’ve started to blog more often with higher quality content.

Quality Content

My earlier content wasn’t bad. At least I don’t think it was bad. But there wasn’t always a clear goal when I put together content. Today, I work to create a higher level of content with a clear goal. It may not always be as frequently as I would like, but the quality has improved and the motivation and lessons have improved greatly. The lesson I learned in this area is that it’s better to have less, more powerful content, then just posting stuff that sounds nice, but little purpose.

I hope you enjoy the new website, if you have feedback or need help, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I love to connect with people.
